Family members captured the moment March 20 on their cellphones of Darts’ most unexpected gift: a $15,000 check. The money will not only pay off the mortgage but allow them to go to the Bahamas.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Marilyn Roberts, Darts’ grandmother. “To have a grandson like that is a blessing.”
