Donald J. Trump will become our 45th President tomorrow. He won the election in a landslide. Americans who voted for Trump have had to watch the shameful, and many times hateful, bullying behavior of Democrats who are unwilling to accept that America rejects their desire to fundamentally transform our nation. The media seems to be having the hardest time of all. As the Russian interference story fades into the background of most American’s minds, the fake news media hosts began pushing phony polls, showing that the same Americans who packed into stadiums by the thousands to show their support for our President-elect, have suddenly decided they don’t really like him anymore. Why? Because he’s already created hundreds of thousands of jobs? Or maybe because he’s standing up to the sick and twisted media like CNN, who put this vile piece together to explain to Americans on the day before Trump’s inauguration, who will take over for him if he and Pence are assassinated tomorrow.
While officials stress there’s no specific credible threat to this inauguration, tonight, do to a quirk in America’s rules for succession, questions remain about who just would be in charge if an attack hit the incoming President, Vice President and congressional leaders just as the transfer of power is underway.
According to the Constitution, if the President and Vice President are killed or incapacitated, next in line is the House Speaker, then the President pro-temporary of the Senate. But what if something happened to them at the inauguration too? After that, it goes down the list of cabinet secretaries, starting with Secretary of State.
On the day of the inauguration, as a precaution, a cabinet secretary called the “Designated President Successor” will not attend the inauguration, ready to step in if something happens. But it won’t be a Trump cabinet secretary, since none of them have been confirmed yet. It will be an Obama appointee. No word from the White House about who that will be on Friday.
The uncertainty creates the potential for chaos, high theater…CNN goes on to show how it ACTUALLY did happen on a tv show. See? According to CNN, it actually could happen…because it happened on a tv show…right?
If we didn’t know better, we’d almost (almost) think CNN was planting a seed…
