It took a while, but the media is reporting the terrorist who was killed by police after he drove a car into the chemical engineering building at Ohio State University, and then began slashing victims with a butcher knife in a horrific TERROR ATTACK has been identified as a 20 year old Somali man.

According to NBC, “The suspect’s name was not released, but law enforcement officials told NBC News he was an 18-year-old Ohio  State student (CBS Is reporting that he is 20 years old), a Somali refugee who was a legal permanent resident of the United States.” Nearly all people in Somalia are Sunni Muslims. ISIS is a Sunni Islamist extremist group.

There is communication about the school attack on known ISIS terrorist channels. If ISIS is behind the attack, an official claim could be expected in as little as a day. –Heavy

A planned terrorist attack at Ohio State was initially reported by the college as an active shooter situation. According to local law enforcement, the man who police shot was a 20-year-old Somali refugee who was a student at the college. His name was Mohammed Ali.

CBS Columbus affiliate WBNS reports the incident began around 9:30 a.m. when firefighters were responding to reports of a chlorine leak at the chemical engineering building.

According to reports from students who were on the scene, students were standing outside the building after the fire alarm went off, at which point someone ran a vehicle into the crowd outside the materials science and engineering building. Moments later, that person sprang from the vehicle and started attacking people with a large knife. –Independent Sentinel

WBNS reports that a suspect has been killed. NBC Columbus reporter Matt Barnes tweeted that two people have been “escorted out of garage in handcuffs and put into SWAT vehicle.” However, later reports state that the attacker worked alone.
