Protests began in Charlotte, NC overnight after Keith Lamont Scott was shot and killed by police. According to the local news:
Lamont Scott got out of his vehicle “armed with a firearm and posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers who subsequently fired their weapon striking the subject.”
A crowd of protesters began to gather last night at the location of the shooting. The crowd became more and more aggressive and then all hell broke loose with rocks and bottles being thrown and a police cruiser destroyed. The chaos went on through the night with the thugs moving to different places to destroy whatever they could.
Twelve officers have been injured with no serious injuries.
