Dr. Ben Carson’s loyalty to President Trump is no surprise to anyone who knows him and his steadfast commitment to making America great again. Ever since he agreed to become President Trump’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, he’s been called every name in the book, but through it all, Dr. Carson has remained loyal to his Republican primary opponent, much to the disappointment of unhinged Democrats who were hoping that their pressure campaign would send him packing.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner reflecting on his four years in government, the former neurosurgeon called on all politicians of all stripes to moderate their tone at a time when agitators were intent on disrupting peaceful protests.

“I think it was potentially something that could have been tempered down,” he said of Trump’s speech. “When you saw in the audience some of the elements that looked somewhat violent, you might want to temper what you have to say.”

Epoch Times – Trump spoke to a crowd in Washington, telling them at one point, “We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

He also said that people who were planning to march to the Capitol should do so “peacefully and patriotically.”

Trump finished at 1:12 p.m. The crowd at the Capitol began getting unruly before then. It takes about 45 minutes to walk from where Trump spoke to the Capitol.

Carson said it was clear that the group that attacked the Capitol was already going to do so before Trump spoke.

“There’s a lot of evidence that they were planning this before the day of the attack and brought appropriate weapons to carry out what could have been very devastating,” he said.

Carson, a former Republican presidential nominee and neurosurgeon, said last week that he was “focused on finishing what I started in uplifting the forgotten women and men of America.”

Two days after the breach of the Capitol building in DC, Secretary Carson tweeted that unlike some of the rats who jumped ship on Trump to save their own political careers, he was standing by him, assuring everyone that he had not talked about the 25th Amendment to anyone.

“As a Nation, we need to heal,” Dr. Carson tweeted, adding he is “focused on finishing what I started in uplifting the forgotten women and men of America.” Carson called for “peace,” and reminded everyone, ” We are not each other’s enemies!”

According to the Washington Examiner – Carson is one of the last surviving members of Trump’s original Cabinet. He is planning to set up a think tank (the American Cornerstone Institute) when he leaves office but said he has no plans to run for the White House again.
