Hmmm…I wonder if this nice young man looking for job opportunities illegal alien will face the same fines and prison sentence imposed on a Dallas man who committed the crime in 2013? Or will he walk away with a slap on the wrist, free health care and free college?

A man was arrested Friday night after being accused of pointing a laser at a Dallas Police Department helicopter, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reports.

Gabriel Gonzales, 22, was being detained in the Dallas County Jail on an immigration hold.

A green laser was pointed at the aircraft as a police officer was doing a roof check on a building in the 300 block of Augustine Drive in southeast Dallas. According to an arrest report, the officer’s vision was impaired for about four seconds.

Channel 8 reports that the officer guided ground patrols to where the laser originated, and police found Gonzales, along with several others, in an alleyway.

Gonzales eventually confessed and pulled the laser pointer from his pocket, according to police.

In 2013, a Dallas man was arrested for pointing a laser at a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter. He faced a maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
