While the left continues to criticize President Trump for his out-of-pocket fast food meal for the National Champion Clemson Tigers, we decided to do a little digging. There’s no reporting on what past presidents fed teams so it’s really interesting to find an article from 2010 when Obama was in office when he hosted the 2009 National Championship team.
Of course, the media never skewered Obama for what he fed the team. Not a peep from them. Can you guess what Obama fed the team?
How is it that President Trump pays for a ton of fast food to feed the team but is criticized over and over for it but Obama gets a pass? We know the answer to that! It’s Trump Derangement Syndrome!
WHAT DID OBAMA FEED THE CRIMSON TIDE IN 2010?
Remember in 2009 when the Alabama Crimson Tide won the National Championship? Yes, we didn’t either.
After looking back at what previous football teams were given when they visited the White House, we were shocked to find that according to ESPN, Obama gave the Alabama team absolutely nothing…zero, zip, nada. No food for these hungry players?
Here’s what ESPN said about the cost of the travel and food:
In 2010 Obama didn’t feed them anything.
“The program called for no food to be served, yet White House maitre d’ George Hannie, resplendent in a tuxedo, stood in front of the State Dining Room.”
But look what they ate afterward (at their own expense)…
The day cost Alabama at least $85,000 — including $79,000 for the Delta charter round-trip flight from Tuscaloosa to Reagan National Airport, $1,700 for four charter buses in Washington and $3,300 for box lunches (including a few extra sandwiches; this was, after all, a football team) delivered by Chick-fil-A to the team after the visit.
So Alabama paid $3,300 for lunches after they left and it was crickets from the media!
Check out what President Trump did and he’s criticized for it? We think it’s awesome! Even the Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence loved it (video below of comments from Trevor)
Clemson University QB Trevor Lawrence was caught by TMZ leaving the White House. He had great things to say about his visit and the fast food that was served because of the shutdown.
Lawrence is a Freshman QB from Cartersville, Georgia with amazing talent and good manners ta boot.
He seemed happy with the visit and even said he hopes to return to the White House a couple more times.
President Trump opened his remarks at the White House (video below) with a shout out to Lawrence. He called the QB “handsome” and said he wishes he could be his agent.
It’s too bad for the Dems who tried to play down the success of the meeting with the president. They seemed to love every minute of it!
The president’s remarks about Trevor Lawrence are at the beginning of the video:
He speaks about Trevor at the very beginning and at the 6:40 mark.
“Look at that quarterback. I want to be the agent of that quarterback”
President Trump said he had a choice of salads or fast food…
We love it!
