A woman died at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport Thursday morning after reportedly getting trapped in a conveyor belt.

“The woman was last seen on camera at 2:27 a.m. entering a restricted area at the International Terminal, Chicago police said,” Chicago Sun-Times reports.

It wasn’t until about 7:40 a.m. when someone found her and paramedics were called to the scene, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt and police.

“She was pinned in machinery,” Merritt said. “The person was DOA and the scene was turned over to the police,” Merritt said, adding the conveyor belt area was turned into a crime scene.

Police sources reportedly said the unidentified woman was in her 40s.

She was found in the baggage claim area of Terminal 5, which houses several international air carriers, just before 8 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if the woman was a traveler or an airport employee.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to NBC Chicago.

Police have not released any additional details.
