San Francisco 49ers’ star defensive end Nick Bosa made a statement following the team’s victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
The four-time Pro Bowler crashed his teammate Brock Purdy’s postgame interview sporting a MAGA hat.

From the New York Post:
NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark was interviewing quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle, and running back Isaac Guerendo when Bosa, 27, jumped in to show his support for former president Trump.
The star pass rusher popped up behind Purdy and, not saying a word, pointed to his white and gold MAGA cap before running off camera.
“Alright, Nick Bosa with a message there,” Stark said, laughing off the interruption while his teammates smirked and giggled over the stunt.
His teammates did not comment on the stunt.
Speaking at the podium after the game, Bosa was asked about showing off the hat and whether it was a “political statement” ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
“I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” Bosa said.

“It is funny that on MSNBC they are having a melt down over Trump’s New York City rally and calling him a Nazi right now. Meanwhile on NBC, which probably has an audience tonight 20x MSNBC’s, one of the star players on the field is flashing a MAGA hat,” OutKick founder Clay Travis wrote.

Per OutKick:
On the one hand, MSNBC was vilifying Trump as a NAZI to its viewer – that’s not a typo.
And Big Daddy NBC, with an actual audience tuned in for a sporting event, was seeing Bosa’s moment.
The Bosa move, by the way, is not without risk. The NFL has rules for players wearing league-approved merchandise during interviews and MAGA is, shocker, not NFL approved.
It will be interesting to see if the NFL decides to fine Bosa, which would be a story in of itself for suggesting an apparent distaste for MAGA. The league never fined anyone for wearing a BLM hat.
Anyway, that’s another story.
This story is that folks like Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell and Jack Lambert and Bosa are now unafraid to let you know their political leanings, when before we mostly just heard from people like Gregg Popovich or Steve Kerr or other liberals endorsing their candidate.
MAGA is now more accepted and in the open among athletes and public figures.
