Officials have identified the 26-year-old military servicewoman whose body was found inside a burned car near Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base.
The deceased individual was identified as Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley of Boerne, Texas, who was assigned to the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron.
“Senior Airman Bolden-Cleckley was a valued member of the 96th Test Wing team, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and fellow airmen during this difficult time,” said Col. Chris Keithley, commander of the 96th Test Wing, according to WEAR-TV.
“We remain committed to supporting those affected by this loss and encourage anyone who needs assistance to reach out to any of our helping agencies,” Keithley added.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and patrols from the 96th Security Forces Squadron responded. The scene was turned over to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, which is investigating.
ADVERTISEMENTThe intersection of Range Road 234 and Lewis Turner Boulevard is not on Eglin AFB main, but it is part of the Eglin Test and Training Range Complex, which is Department of the Air Force federal property.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of Senior Airman Bolden-Cleckley, one of our teammates. During this incredibly difficult time, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Tamera’s family, friends, and all those who knew and cared for her,” said Col. Daniel Micsunescu, commander of the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron.
The Air Force and local helping agencies are providing counseling services and support to those affected.
Family and friends will be offered resources through the Air Force’s Casualty Assistance Office, the Air Force Employee Assistance Program and the Chaplain’s Office.
Bolden-Cleckley entered the Air Force in 2021 and was assigned to the surgical squadron as a diagnostic imaging specialist, also known as a radiology technician.
The incident remains under investigation.
It’s unclear what caused the vehicle fire or whether foul play is suspected.

Eglin is one of the largest military installations in the country, covering more than 460,000 acres and hosting Air Force, Space Force and Army organizations, among them the 96th Test Wing, the 33rd Fighter Wing and the 7th Special Forces Group.
Many people live, work and train on that land. The discovery of a person on base property does not by itself establish that the individual was a service member or connected to any particular unit.
