Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler will serve jail time as part of a plea deal after being arrested for DUI last fall.
Cutler was arrested on October 17, 2024, after he rear-ended another car while driving.
The 12-year NFL veteran faced multiple charges, including driving under the influence and gun possession while under the influence.
He pleaded guilty to one charge of driving under the influence in a Tennessee courtroom.
The plea deal dismisses the weapon possession charge, but he must forfeit his firearm.
Cutler must also serve four days in jail, which he will serve next month, and pay a $350 fine.

More from the New York Post:
He will also need to attend a DUI safety course, and his driver’s license has been suspended for a year.
Cutler was involved in a traffic accident in Franklin, Tennessee, in October, and police said he was showing signs of being intoxicated.
The former Pro Bowler had rear-ended another vehicle during the incident, and cops said he was slurring his speech and refused to take field sobriety tests at the scene.
Cutler later had a blood sample test taken at a local hospital. Police said they found two firearms in his vehicle, one of which was loaded.
The former NFL Draft first-round selection spent most of his career with the Chicago Bears, leading the franchise in passing yards, passing touchdowns, attempts, and completions.
The Denver Broncos selected Cutler in the 2006 NFL Draft with the 11th overall pick.
