In recent weeks, Democratic Governor Wes Moore has been very vocal about his disdain for President Trump.

Moore’s constant attacks against President Trump have resulted in many Democrats believing Moore will run in the 2028 Presidential election.

In a recent interview with NBC’s Kristen Walker Moore, Moore revealed whether he will run for President in 2028.

Fox News provided the full scoop on Moore’s thoughts on a 2028 presidential run:

Maryland Governor Wes Moore (D) shocked NBC “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker on Sunday with his announcement about whether he intends to run for president in the 2028 election.

Speculation has swirled that Moore would run for president, and the Maryland governor is up for reelection in 2026. When asked if Moore intends to serve a full term if reelected, he said yes. When Welker pressed if he would not be running for president, Moore ruled out a presidential run in the next election.

“Yes, I’m going to be serving a full term. I’m excited about re-election. I’m exciting about what I’m gonna be able to do for the people of Maryland,” Moore said.

“Do you rule out a run for president, governor?” Welker shot back.

“Yeah, I’m not running for president,” Moore replied.

“You rule it out? Yes. You completely rule it out?” Welker asked.

Moore proceeded to list his accomplishments as governor and said he looks forward to continuing to work leading Maryland.

In recent months, Moore has received backlash over claiming he received a Bronze Star.

The Western Journal reported more details on Moore’s Bronze Star claims:

Former President Joe Biden’s administration did Maryland Gov. Wes Moore a solid last December when the Defense Department issued him a Bronze Star, which he had wrongfully claimed he received 18 years earlier.

Moore, whose name has been floated as a 2028 hopeful, made headlines recently by “standing up” to President Donald Trump’s push for federal involvement to address crime in the nation’s cities.

Trump said in the Oval Office on Monday that Moore had called him the “greatest president of my lifetime” at the Army-Navy game in December.

On Thursday, Trump appeared to call Moore’s integrity into question, posting a headline of the governor falsely claiming he had received the Bronze Star while serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.

“But is that the end of his political career. He was very disrespectful to the Office of the President!” Trump stated.
