These guys get it! They understand what our Second Amendment means…

It’s the slippery slope of lawmakers like Pelosi and Schumer who do anything they can to shut down gun ownership one regulation at a time.

When it comes to the issue of gun control, it’s not that there aren’t a few “common sense” measures most liberals and conservatives could agree upon. It’s just that conservatives know that as soon as you give liberals an inch, they’ll take a mile, then another and another until they’ve accomplished what we know good and well is their ultimate goal, total disarmament.

And so when we do give, it’s with an understandable amount of hesitation, trepidation, and resistance from lots of good people who know the deal.

But usually, the “taking a mile” part isn’t something liberals like to admit out loud. They’d rather deceive us into working with them. They’d rather act like if only conservatives would enact some very simple “common sense” gun control measures, that’s all they’d ask for.

Except, Nancy Pelosi just let the cat out of the bag…

During a Thursday press conference, the House Minority Leader admitted that her side wants a lot more than just a ban on “bump stocks,” something nearly everyone, including the NRA, agrees with.

“There are going to be Republicans who resist this because they say, ‘Give the gun control people an inch and they’ll try to take a mile,’” asked a reporter addressing Pelosi. “So how do you plan to overcome that when the truth is that you would like to go further?”

“So what?” Pelosi said. “They’re going to say, ‘You give them bump stock, it’s going to be a slippery slope.’ I certainly hope so. But I don’t think bump stock should be a substitute for the background check. By the way the background check is a compromise. There are many more things members want to do, and we’re saying, ‘How do we save the most lives?’ We save more lives with a background check.”

Thanks for confirming what we already knew, Nancy. At the very least, maybe more on our side will enter negotiations with your ilk with their eyes wide open.
