Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, humiliated himself today during a hearing with the acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, when he read from what many believed was the actual transcript of the July 25 call between President Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky. Instead of reading from the actual transcript of the call, Schiff embarrassingly read his own rendition of the call on national TV.

After Chairman Schiff (D-CA) was called out for misleading the public, the media and the members of the committee with his false reading of the transcript, Schiff claimed that his summary of the call was “in part meant to be a parody.” In part? Schiff reiterated that his false reading of the report, saying that his version was actually what the Ukrainian president was saying, “in not so many words.”

What?

Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff wasn’t finished lying. After the hearing was completed, Rep. Schiff was swamped by his allies in the media. Schiff thanked the whistleblower, as he attempted to convince the American people that in spite of the IG’s assessment of the whistleblower having a political bias, that the whistleblower was indeed, a credible witness.

Rep. Schiff told the media he was “grateful” to the acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, who he accused last week of withholding the whistleblower complaint, for voluntarily participating in the hearing. “I’m grateful for the director for coming to the committee—for not requiring us to use coercion,” Schiff told the media. Almost immediately, Schiff can be seen realizing he just told a lie that could be easily traced and backtracked, saying, “Now, yes—we provided him a subpoena, but none-the-less, he came before our committee.”

Watch:

After threating Maquire to release the whistleblower complaint or appear before the Intelligence Committee’s hearing today, Committee Chairman Adam Schiff eventually subpoenaed Joseph Maguire last week, saying he was withholding a whistleblower complaint from Congress and questioning whether he had been directed to do so by the White House or the attorney general.

According to Trib Live – Schiff said Tuesday evening that the committee must “move quickly” on the subject and that the committee’s position is clear.

“The acting DNI can either provide the complaint as required under the law, or he will be required to come before the committee to tell the public why he is not following the clear letter of the law, including whether the White House or the attorney general are directing him to do so,” Schiff said. “He has yet to provide the complaint in response to the committee’s subpoena, so I expect him to appear on Thursday, under subpoena if necessary.”

Schiff said last week that Maguire is required to share the complaint with Congress, and “this raises serious concerns about whether White House, Department of Justice or other executive branch officials are trying to prevent a legitimate whistleblower complaint from reaching its intended recipient, the Congress, in order to cover up serious misconduct.”

He added that he was concerned that administration officials “are engaged in an unlawful effort to protect” President Donald Trump.

So much for the whole “volunteer” thing…

But when did facts matter to any Democrat lawmaker when it comes to reversing the results of the 2016 presidential election?
