Joe Biden who, as a presidential candidate, vowed to seek justice for the murdered Saudi Washington Post journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, has just declared Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) immune from any lawsuits relating to the 2018 murder of Khashoggi in Saudi Arabia’s consulate in Istanbul.

Khashoggi was a resident of the United States who had applied for his American citizenship and had traveled to Saudi Arabia’s consulate on October 2, 2018, for an appointment he had scheduled to retrieve documents that would allow him to get married. He was never seen again.

The journalist, who had been a vocal critic of the Saudi government and the rulers, was assassinated by a team of 15 agents of the Saudi government who had been sent to the consulate to confront him. U.S. intelligence believes that these agents were directed by MBS since Khashoggi was viewed as an enemy of the state and a national security threat.

Donald Trump, who was president at this time, was attacked by the Democrat Party for not taking immediate, drastic action against Saudi Arabia for Khashoggi’s murder, accusing him of being “complicit” in the murder if he didn’t do so.

Meanwhile, Biden passionately insisted that he would make a ‘pariah’ out of Saudi rulers while campaigning for president. In a 2019 CNN town hall, Biden said, “I think it was a flat-out murder. And I think we should have nailed it as that. I publicly said at the time we should treat it that way and there should be consequences relating to how we deal with those – that power.”

Now, despite U.S. intelligence declaring MBS responsible for the murder, the Biden regime has announced that he should be shielded from a lawsuit brought against him by Khashoggi’s ex-fiancée, Hatice Cengiz.

This request from Biden comes as the U.S. is trying to ease tensions with Saudi Arabia and persuade Saudi Arabia to undo a series of cuts in oil production.

Immediately following this announcement, Cengiz tweeted, “Jamal died again today.”

She also said,

“The United States state department has granted immunity to MBS. It wasn’t a decision everyone expected. We thought maybe there would be a light to justice from USA But again, money came first.”

Later, Cengiz added,

“Biden saved the murderer by granting immunity. He saved the criminal and got involved in the crime himself. Let’s see who will save you in the hereafter?”

Sarah Leah Whitson, the Executive Director of DAWN (Democracy for the Arab World Now), was also part of Cengiz’s suit against the Crown Prince. In a statement following Biden’s decision, she said, “It’s beyond ironic that President Biden has singlehandedly assured MBS can escape accountability when it was President Biden who promised the American people he would do everything to hold him accountable.

“It’s impossible to read the Biden administration’s move today as anything more than a capitulation to Saudi pressure tactics, including slashing oil output to twist our arms to recognize MBS’s fake immunity ploy,” added Whitson.
