For more than 7 months, Portland’s Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler has looked the other way while the violent domestic terror group, Antifa, has taken a wrecking ball to the once beautiful city of Portland, OR.

On September 1, Acting Department Of Homeland Security Director Chad Wolf sent a scathing letter to Portland’s testicularly challenged mayor, Ted Wheeler, ripping him for allowing gangs of terrorists to take over the city on a nightly basis, which has resulted in 95 straight nights of riots, chaos, destruction, violence, smashed windows, street fires, injured police, and more.

Portland’s mayor has stood by passively, arguing the nightly violence “will ultimately burn itself out.” The evidence demonstrates otherwise. Again, I urge Portland leaders to prioritize public safety & request federal assistance to restore law & order.

Wheeler has done everything possible to avoid taking any responsibility for not quelling the uprisings, and instead has continually tried to shift the blame to Trump and strawmen “white supremacists.”

On September 4, Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler was forced from his $840,000 condo in order to avoid rioters who targeted his home on multiple occasions.

Ted Wheeler wrote to neighbors in his building to say it would be “best for me and for everyone else’s safety and peace” for him to move from the building that rioters tried to torch on his 58th birthday Monday, according to The Oregonian.

“I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,” Wheeler reportedly wrote, according to a screenshot of the email.

The mayor bought his two-bedroom condo in the building with 114 units for $840,000 in 2017, the paper said, citing property records. It has regularly been a scene of protests, with fireworks lit and lights shone on the building as fires also get lit in the street.

Wheeler faced harsh criticism for his handling of the City of Roses’ protests for 97 consecutive nights since George Floyd’s police-custody death in Minneapolis in May. He sympathized with protesters, called for cops to refrain from arrests, and also pledged to defund the police.

President Donald Trump called Wheeler a “wacky Radical Left Do Nothing Democrat Mayor of Portland,” adding that he had “watched great death and destruction of his city during his tenure.”

Yesterday, after almost 8 months of unimaginable, unchecked violence, Portland’s Democrat Mayor finally stood up to the domestic terror group and put them on public notice.

Here is a partial transcript of his speech. The video of Mayor Wheeler’s speech can be found below:

My good faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists.

In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.

Lawlessness and anarchy come at great expense and with great risk to the future of our community

It’s time to push back harder against those who are set on destroying our community and to take more risks in fighting lawlessness.

In closing, once again, I condemn anyone who engages in violence and criminal destruction, no matter what their ideology.

Watch:

Why did Wheeler wait so long to denounce Antifa (a group Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden referred to as “an idea” during a debate with President Trump)? Why did he allow them to destroy federal, state and private property for over 7 months before putting them on notice? These are all questions Portland citizens should be asking. Was the violent activity by the domestic terror group, Antifa, part of a bigger plan to threaten and intimidate Trump supporters leading up to the election?
