The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a recall of 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef, and goat products from Star Meat Delivery Inc., located in Lucama, North Carolina, because they were produced without federal inspection.

The recalled products bear labels “with a false USDA mark of inspection,” the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

Newsweek shared further:

The FSIS describes a Class I as involving a health hazard “where there is a reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”

Products with an “EST. 1363” number on them should be considered unsafe to eat, the alert warns.

Numerous recalls have been issued this year across the country due to the potential for damage, foodborne illness, contamination, lack of inspection or undeclared food allergens. Recently, federal officials also announced a recall of J. HIGGS brand loaded bacon and cheddar potato chips due to concerns over potentially undeclared soy, which can trigger allergies.

“The raw pork, beef, and goat items were produced on various dates prior to September 22, 2026. The products were vacuum-sealed and packed into cardboard boxes for shipment; individual consumer packages may not bear this labeling, as retail stores may have applied their own stickers with pricing and safe handling instructions,” the alert read.

The following products, distributed in bulk under the A&D Foods label, are subject to recall:

“These items were shipped to A&D Foods, a distributor in Georgia, for further distribution to retail and restaurant locations nationwide,” the alert read.

WESH noted:

No illnesses or injuries have been confirmed. However, the USDA said meat produced without inspection may contain harmful bacteria, undeclared allergens or other contaminants.

Consumers, retailers and restaurants should discard the products or return them to the place of purchase. A list of product labels is available on the USDA recall page and in the agency’s label document.
