A Douglasville, Georgia neighborhood has been on edge ever since last December when racially charged notes began appearing in the mailboxes of non-white residents. The notes seemed to imply the perpetrator was a white man in the Ku Klux Klan, police believed.

The police recently made an arrest, and the person of interest turned out to be different than expected. Terresha Lucas, a 30-year-old black woman from the area has been charged with the crime. Police believe she posed as a KKK member to threaten people in the area.

This is not the first fake hate crime, and certainly, it won’t be the last.  As we reported earlier, there is a long list of fake hate crimes that the media tries to use to denounce President Trump and his supporters. The most prominent example from that list, and the one that made its rounds in the media the longest, is the hoax hate crime of Jussie Smollett.

In January of 2019, Jussie Smollett, a popular black Empire actor, accused two white men of wearing MAGA hats and yelling racial slurs during a racially motivated attack outside of his luxury Chicago apartment. Smollett claimed that the two white men also dumped bleach on him and tied a noose around his neck. The two suspects ended up being friends of Smollett’s who admitted to rehearsing the attack with Smollett, who they say orchestrated the attack and paid them both to participate in the hoax. The media gave the story wall-to-wall coverage. Democrat leaders piled on, calling for urgent anti-lynching legislation.
