Another leak from the Supreme Court–good for pro-life, bad for the court’s integrity

As the Supreme Court suffers from yet another leak from within, possibly from the office of a liberal Justice desperate to pressure the Court into changing course, pro-life patriots are once again validated.

The Supreme Court suffered from a leak in early May which indicated that the Court will overturn Roe v Wade in their ruling on the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. As a result, liberal, pro-infanticide extremists have been lobbing threats at the conservative Justices of the Supreme Court and protesting around their homes.

However, another leak published by Politico contains both great news for pro-life Americans, as well as a sign of extreme conflict behind the Court’s doors.

From the Western Journal:

The initial draft majority opinion by Alito said “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,”

“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” the justice wrote. “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”

“Justice Samuel Alito’s sweeping and blunt draft majority opinion from February overturning Roe remains the court’s only circulated draft in the pending Mississippi abortion case, POLITICO has learned, and none of the conservative justices who initially sided with Alito have to date switched their votes,” the outlet reported.

Alito’s powerful anti-Roe draft, coupled with no change in voting composition, is a strong indicator that the court will not only overturn Roe but rule in a pro-life manner on Dobbs.

However, this pro-life win is coming at the cost of the Court’s integrity. This many leaks, presumably coming from the dissenting minority within the Court or their aides, may at first seem as nothing more than a temper tantrum. However, it spells trouble.

Leaks from the Supreme Court are unprecedented. That they rile up activists and protestors, however, shows that they serve a purpose–pressure to change a decision.

Thankfully, there is no sign that this pressure has produced altered votes yet, however the fact that someone within the Supreme Court of the United States will leak information in order to try and get what they want out of the court is damning to the institution’s integrity and sets a dangerous precedent for future controversial cases.
