Anthony Fauci will testify publicly for the first time since his retirement.
“Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) announced that Dr. Anthony Fauci will testify publicly for the first time since retiring from public service at a hearing before the Select Subcommittee on June 3, 2024,” the House Oversight Committee stated in a press release.
“Earlier this year, Dr. Fauci appeared in front of the Select Subcommittee for a closed-door, two-day, 14-hour transcribed interview,” the press release continued.
“Retirement from public service does not excuse Dr. Fauci from accountability to the American people. On June 3, Americans will have an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Fauci about his role in overseeing our nation’s pandemic response, shaping pandemic-era polices, and promoting singular questionable narratives about the origins of COVID-19,” Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) said.

From the House Oversight Committee:
“During Dr. Fauci’s closed-door interview in January, he testified to serious systemic failures in our public health system that deserve further investigation, including his testimony that the ‘6 feet apart’ social distancing guidance — which was used to shut down small businesses and schools across America — ‘sort of just appeared.’ This raises significant concerns about public health officials and the validity of their policy recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic. We also learned that he believes the lab leak hypothesis he publicly downplayed should not be dismissed as a conspiracy theory. As the face of America’s public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic, these statements raise serious questions that warrant public scrutiny.
“The Select Subcommittee will also hold a public hearing with EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak on May 1, 2024, that will serve as a crucial component of our investigation into the origins of COVID-19 and provide essential background ahead of Dr. Fauci’s public hearing. We look forward to both Dr. Fauci’s and Dr. Daszak’s forthcoming and honest testimonies, and appreciate their willingness to voluntarily appear before the Select Subcommittee for public hearings.”
“Fauci’s testimony will come in the wake of BOMBSHELL new emails from EcoHealth Alliance’s Peter Daszak and Fauci aide that expose the Covid gain-of-function cover-up. Daszak’s email noted that the Wuhan lab was in possession of ‘more than 15,000 samples’ of coronaviruses prior to the Covid pandemic. EcoHealth Alliance was a cut-out group for the Pentagon and National Institutes of Health to fund risky and illegal gain-of-function research at the Wuhan laboratory in China,” Kyle Becker wrote.
“Fauci is on the record discrediting the manmade theory of SARS-CoV-2 publicly while working behind the scenes to suppress scientific dissent that the theory was plausible. The NIAID chief eventually pushed scientists at Science magazine to call it a “conspiracy theory” while pushing the bat/wet market theory. The Department of Energy and FBI have published reports supporting the view that it is likely that Covid was a ‘manmade’ virus. Dr. Ralph Baric of the University of North Carolina developed the exact blueprint (RNA sequencing, furin cleavage site) for making SARS-CoV-2 prior to the virus being discovered near the Wuhan lab in China,” he continued.

From the New York Post:
The immunologist will also likely be asked about millions of dollars in federal grants given to EcoHealth Alliance to conduct coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
A former senior adviser to Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was recently found by the House COVID-19 panel to have shared “confidential” communications with EcoHealth Alliance about how the agency, and Fauci, were preparing to respond to accusations that they funded risky gain-of-function experiments on coronaviruses in Wuhan.
Fauci sat for a 14-hour-long transcribed interview with the House panel in January, during which he admitted to signing off on NIAID grants without personally reviewing the project proposals and acknowledged that the hypothesis that COVID-19 leaked out of a Chinese lab was not a conspiracy theory.
His answers related to social distancing guidelines and vaccine mandates imposed on Americans during the pandemic also raised concerns among some lawmakers on the panel.
