On Wednesday night, Representative Alexandria Occasio Cortez (D-Ny.) attacked the Supreme Court on Stephen Colbert’s show.
“The Supreme Court has engaged in the overreaching of its authority in denying the human and civil rights of any pregnant person or person who could become pregnant in the United States of America. They have engaged in overreach, and it is the responsibility of the President and Congress to put the Supreme Court in check,” she said.
The next day, she took her ridiculous statement even further and called for Congress to either “reform” the Supreme Court or “do away with the whole thing”, suggesting that Congress should abolish the Supreme Court if it continues to hand down rulings that leftists don’t like.
Catastrophic. A filibuster carveout is not enough. We need to reform or do away with the whole thing, for the sake of the planet. https://t.co/if8PIbfs42

The statement came as the Supreme Court continues to hand down rulings that have leftists up in arms.
This term, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of 2nd amendment rights, struck down Roe v Wade, and has now handicapped the EPA in its ability to regulate oil companies during a time when gas prices are already at an all-time high.
The Gateway Pundit Reports–
Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday called for the Supreme Court to be abolished after the High Court reined in the EPA’s power to regulated greenhouse gases.
The U.S. Supreme Court case, West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency, has been decided, cutting back the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to limit controls on climate change!
In a 6-3 Ruling, the Court has decided that the Clean Air Act is no longer an appropriate vehicle for the EPA to curtail greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. The ruling sides with conservative lawmakers, states, and the fossil fuel industry to reduce the impact and authority of the EPA. The move is a win for the nation’s energy production, and limits the ability of Biden to stop or end fossil fuel production by the United States oil industry.
