Progressive Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-Ny.) joined a growing chorus of top Democrats who have refused to endorse President Biden for his 2024 re-election bid.

On Sunday morning, she was asked if she would endorse him on CNN.  She paused for an inordinate amount of time before saying that she would consider endorsing him if he had a ‘vision’ in 2024.  The interviewer said that her answer ‘Wasn’t a yes’ and she still refused to endorse him.

She tried to bail herself out by saying that Biden has been doing a “very good job so far” but couldn’t keep a straight face and laughed a few seconds later.  WATCH:

AOC is the latest top Democrat to refuse to endorse Biden, joining roughly 50 high-ranking politicians and officials in the party.

David Axelrod, President Obama’s chief strategist in the White House, told the New York Times that he wasn’t sure if Biden should run for a second term considering his age.

‘The presidency is a monstrously taxing job and the stark reality is the president would be closer to 90 than 80 at the end of a second term, and that would be a major issue,’ Axelrod said.

Top members of the DNC were even more harsh on the President, with one DNC member saying ‘Democrats need fresh, bold leadership for the 2024 presidential race…that can’t be Biden.’

Another from Florida said that Biden  ‘should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.’

Recent polling paints an abysmal picture for Biden, with President Trump leading him in two recent polls by 4 percent and 2 percent respectively.

Biden won the popular vote by 4.3 percent in 2020, meaning that he has lost anywhere from 6 to 8 percent support in just the last year.
