Yesterday, an armed self-described member of Antifa, Willem Van Spronsen, a was shot and killed by law enforcement officers after he threw explosives at an ICE detention center in Tacoma, WA.
Seattle Times reports that this was not Van Spronsen’s first run in with law enforcement tied to an immigration detention center
A protest outside the federal immigration detention center in Tacoma last year drew headlines when a 68-year-old man wrapped his arms around a police officer’s throat and shoulders in an apparent attempt to free another protester.
When police got the man into handcuffs, they found a collapsible baton and knife in his pocket, leading to criminal charges.
Early Saturday morning, that man, Willem Van Spronsen of Vashon Island, returned to the Northwest Detention Center, the holding facility for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, this time armed with a rifle and incendiary devices, according to Tacoma police.
Police said Van Spronsen tossed lit objects at vehicles and buildings, causing one car fire, and unsuccessfully tried to ignite a propane tank.
Officers were called by an ICE employee who saw the rifle. Soon after they arrived, officers reported “shots fired,” said Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool, although it is unclear who fired first or if Van Spronsen fired at all. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office classified his death as a homicide.
A manifesto was discovered and video of the deceased man with Antifa radicals was also found.
Van Spronsen’s death came on the eve of Sunday’s planned national raid by ICE targeting thousands of undocumented immigrant families who the government said missed court hearings or who had received removal notices. Seattle is not among the 10 cities being targeted in the raids.
Deb Bartley, a friend of Van Spronsen’s for about 20 years, described him as an anarchist and anti-fascist, and she believes his attack on the detention center was intended to provoke a fatal conflict.
Van Spronsen’s manifesto was filled with radical rhetoric frequently heard coming from the leftist media and far-left Democrat U.S. Representatives like AOC, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
In this page of his manifesto, the Antifa terrorist adopts the term “concentration camps” used by Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) to describe detention centers on our southern border used to house illegal aliens.
In this page of his manifesto, Van Spronsen uses a term used by another radical leftist, Michael Brown’s stepfather, who called on Black Lives Matter terrorists to “burn the motherf**ker down!”, a reference to burning down the city of Ferguson, MO, after Officer Wilson was exonorated in the highly charged “hands up, don’t shoot” case, that proved the whole “hands up don’t shoot” exchange never took place. He also cites the “Proud Boys,” a group that was formed to protect free speech advocates from the violent anti-free speech terror group, Antifa.
Finally, on this page, Willem Van Spronsen makes his allegience to Antifa known, saying: “i am antifa.” He also indicates that he is part of a trans community, as he identifies his “trans comrades” a term commonly used when referring to fellow communists.
Conservative, First Amendment defender and trial lawyer, Harmeet K. Dhillon tweeted a thread likening the John Brown Gun Club, “JBGC” to a gateway drug to the violent Antifa terror group. After independent journalist Andy Ngo was severely beaten by Antifa in Portland, OR, Dhillon agreed to defend him in his case against the brutal leftist terrorists.

2/ — DSA is the Democratic Socialists of America, aka AOC’s squad. DSA is like the gateway drug to this violent movement. Following the drug analogy, Antifa is the harder drug, like cocaine/crack. DSA is often seen marching with its “allies” Antifa… and in the Antifa crowds…
3/ We can see their militia, the ones carrying rifles, batons, knives, or hats with the insignia of the John Brown Gun Club, “JBGC”, as the Tacoma bomber Willem van Spronsen sported and which
@cnn‘s Kamau Bell reported on as a great civic club which fights racism for fun!…
4/ The armed militia wing of Antifa and the black-glad goons who came to the Portland rally with hardened gloves and bats and batons and even allegedly a medieval flail, are the full scale heroin/meth wing of Antifa, coming for the violence and scoring at every “rally”…
5/ In his alleged “manifesto” found elsewhere online, van Spronsen specifically invokes AOC’s “concentration camps” rhetoric to describe ICE facilities where a tiny subset of people in our country without US permission, are detained..
6/ So the progression is DSA/AOC types -> Antifa masked marchers/in your face threats & some punches/assaults with weapons -> Armed militia types such as JBGC to which the Tacoma bomber belonged and to which
@cnn encouraged donations. And various flotsam and jetsam along the way.
7/ So when you see mainstream journalists & politicians glorify & promote leftists along this spectrum, realize that it all leads to a particular place, a place where journalists and ordinary citizens are assaulted, and domestic terrorists throw bombs and target law enforcement.
