Democrat Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (MO) is pushing to increase the national gas tax to help fund President Biden’s $2 trillion green scam under the guise of an “infrastructure plan.”

“First of all, I do think that, given the preference, I and probably many others would like to see the gasoline tax raised. As you know, that has been talked about for decades. And, unfortunately, Americans have become so accustomed to the low gas prices,” Cleaver said in an interview with FOX News host Neil Cavuto, as reported by RCP.

“Even though I would challenge anybody, if they go — leave, wherever they are right now, looking at this — at your show, to go out and ask 10 people how much they pay in federal gasoline taxes, they can’t tell you,” the Congressman argued. “They won’t be able to tell you until a number is put out there, when somebody says, we’re going to raise the taxes in order to pay our infrastructure costs or the rebuilding of our infrastructure.”

Rep. Cleaver isn’t the only arrogant Democrat who couldn’t care less about how much money they’re stealing from hard-working Americans. In an interview with Democrat Rep. James Clyburn (SC), he shamelessly admits to Fox News host Neil Cavuto that Biden’s so-called “infrastructure” bill has little to do with infrastructure and everything to do with targeted social programs that will only benefit certain people.
