The border crisis continues to worsen, as illegal immigrants continue to pour through the US-Mexico border, as Joe Biden prioritizes pandering to the black community for votes and killing the gas and oil industry.

As Southern border towns are overwhelmed by the massive influx of migrants, 42 Texas counties have declared or requested that Gov. Greg Abbott declare an invasion at the border.

In the month of December, the US saw another record-setting month for migrants attempting to enter the US. Throughout the month, over 220,000 migrants were apprehended trying to cross the border.

This marks the second-largest month of apprehended migrants at the border since the Clinton administration.

42 counties in Texas have declared an invasion or called on Gov. Greg Abbott to declare an invasion at the border. In one of these counties, Clay, a resolution was adopted that called for additional measures to be put in place to help deal with the invasion.

Earlier this month, Judge Mike Campbell told local media, “I think about all the things that we could use that money for instead of what they’re using it for right now. But the governor needs to understand that we back him on that, and we get it. We understand that it’s a problem and that, while we wish the federal government would take care of it, they’re not doing it right now.”

The county commissioners and Judge Chad Sims of Harrison County have signed a resolution expressing their support for the border counties that are “experiencing local disaster situations as a result of inadequate border security.”

In the resolution, they cited Article IV, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution which authorizes the governor to “call forth the militia to execute the laws of the state, to suppress insurrections and to repel invasions.” They also described the Mexican cartels as “paramilitary, narco-terrorist organizations that profit from trafficking people and drugs into the US” who are posing a severe threat to the residents of the southern communities “with overwhelming consequences to residents in the State of Texas.”

Franklin County Judge Scott Lee explicitly called on Gov. Greg Abbott, “as the Commander-in-Chief of the Texas National Guard” to “make a formal declaration of invasion thereby invoking the state authority under the invasion clause of the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3.”

In his resolution, Lee warns that “transnational narco-terrorist cartels… have seized de facto operational control between the points of entry on the southern Texas border facilitating massive human smuggling, trafficking, operations, [and] a deadly drug trade, including fentanyl.”
