As CNN’s primetime ratings continue to plummet, the network has made no mention of the report released by Special Counsel John Durham on Monday that revealed the FBI’s investigation into the Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 presidential election was completely unwarranted.

Neither Primetime nor Anderson Cooper 360, two of CNN’s highest-rated shows, acknowledged the bombshell report despite the fact that they have previously claimed that the accusations levied against Trump’s campaign were “corroborated.”

CNN was not shy about supporting Trump-Russia collusion accusations when the baseless claims first surfaced. However, now that it has been revealed that the FBI did not have any “factual evidence” to investigate the alleged collusion in the first place, CNN is keeping quiet.

However, during the two-hour timeslot, neither primetime show mentioned the scathing report which tore apart the “Steele Dossier.”

Meanwhile, CNN has fallen behind Fox News, MSNBC, and even conservative media outlet Newsmax in terms of viewership.

After Trump’s appearance on CNN’s Town Hall, the network averaged just 335,000 viewers that Friday, while Newsmax averaged 357,000 in the same 8-11 p.m. timeslot.

Not helping the matter was CNN’s most-watched anchor who encouraged his viewers after the fiery Republican town hall to no longer watch the channel – and it seems they listened.

CNN rival Fox News averaged 1.44 million primetime viewers, and MSNBC averaged 1.08 million.

Trying to minimize the embarrassment felt by CNN over the abysmal numbers, a CNN spokesperson, Matt Dornic, pointed out to the New York Post that “Fox News viewership is down double digits as their viewers jump to Newsmax in huge numbers.”

While it may be true that Fox’s viewership has recently dropped, they were still well ahead of the competition in Friday night’s cable news ratings.

Dornic suggested that Newsmax has gained a significant number of viewers after Fox News ousted popular host Tucker Carlson.

Prior to Fox News’ shakeup with Carlson, Newsmax had struggled to maintain a nightly audience of 100,000. It is assumed that angry Fox viewers jumped shipped and headed over to the newer conservative network.

“CNN is entirely focused on the 25-54 demo, which was actually up versus the previous four Fridays while both Fox and MSNBC were down,” Dornic stressed.

Despite the network allegedly only focusing on a specific age demographic, CNN is still coming off of one of the worst-rated quarters in its history.
