Oregon has fallen off the rails! The VERY liberal area of Portland is bending over backwards to have “diverse perspectives” so they’re making sure Santa is erased from Christmas so as not to offend. Gimme a break! This is cultural marxism and needs to STOP!

While researching this idiotic policy in Portand schools, the following editorial jumped out as a reminder that there are angry vengeful liberals out there who would even ruin Santa and Christmas for your children:

The Oregonian’s own Scrooge wrote a commentary in support of the school policy:

Portland schools are right to ban Santa Claus in classrooms

Santa Claus, it appears, is now persona non grata in most Portland-area public schools. And you know what? Good. It’s about time.

Before I go any further: if you are a kid, who is somehow reading this and also still believes in Santa: Keep reading. I’m about to blow your mind.

Santa Claus is not real. He is a character based on a monk-turned-saint, St. Nicholas. The iteration Christian and secular American children worship is based on “The Night Before Christmas,” marketing material and mall visits.

Some people like to argue he’s barely a religious symbol anymore, which I’d agree with. He’s a symbol of capitalism, a sort of manifestation of our greatest moral value: wealth.

The article goes on the rip apart Christmas like some sort of cheap wrapping paper…Dear Santa, Please put a lump of coal in Lizzy Acker’s stocking this year! Please feel free to let her have it: Lizzy Acker, The Oregonian

HILLSBORO, Ore. — A memo sent to Hillsboro School District staff asked them to refrain from using religious-themed decorations during the holidays, including images like Santa Claus.

The school district released the memo to KATU Tuesday, the key part reads:

You may still decorate your door or office if you like, but we ask that you be respectful and sensitive to the diverse perspectives and beliefs of our community and refrain from using religious-themed decorations or images like Santa Claus.

“It really went out as a notification to staff, not even parents, just to make sure they are being sensitive and thoughtful as they enter the holiday season,” said Beth Graser, communications director for Hillsboro School District.

THIS IS CULTURAL MARXISM! PUSH BACK ON THIS! “Political correctness is Cultural Marxism. Cultural Marxists have taken over the institutions of the media, education, mainstream Christianity (conservative and liberal), law, and finance. Their goal is the annihilation of Western Civilization in general.”

Some parents say a rule like this one is bogus.
“I’m from that generation where we believe in Santa, and my kids believe in Santa, and they should be able to celebrate it,” said one parent.
“If you’re going to put a giant cross on the window that’s one thing, but I think Santa Claus is more folklore and American history than a religious symbol at this point,” said Jason Ramirez.
In downtown Hillsboro, certain stores are decorated for Christmas with images of Santa hang in the windows.
“It’s just part of the traditional holiday spirit I guess, we’ve always embraced it,” said Jeff Nelson, owner of Le Stuff Antique Mall.

Graser says she understands the frustration some people may have with regards to holiday decorations, but says, “It’s not meant to be that at all. Again, it’s just really a reminder to get people to be sensitive.”
School districts around Portland have similar ways of handling holiday decorations.
