The anti-2nd Amendment mob has once again, shamelessly coopted a school shooting tragedy, as a way to push for gun control in America. Will gun-control be the last straw that tears apart an already politically divided nation? Will Trump’s supporters desert him if he caves on this hot-button issue?

The left is a well-organized mob, who is ready to threaten to destroy any business or organization who dares to support the Second Amendment. The largest privately owned bank in America is the first to cave to their threats…

According to Journal Star – Nebraska’s largest bank has decided to cut ties with the National Rifle Association.

First National Bank of Omaha said Thursday that it will not renew its branded credit card deal with the NRA.

Kevin Langin, a spokesman for the bank, which is the largest privately owned bank in the U.S., said the decision was made after “customer feedback (that) has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA.”

After an unverified customer announced he would come back to First National Bank of Omaha, the bank responded on Twitter:

“Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA. As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card. “

The bank had faced the prospect of a public protest from the group Nebraskans Against Gun Violence, which sent an email to bank officials on Wednesday asking the bank to take “a stand against gun violence by ending its NRA promotions.”

“If you decide to continue offering benefits to NRA members, we intend to organize a public protest of your bank and have already secured the commitments of several of your customers to cancel their accounts because they do not want to support a bank that actively promotes the single largest obstacle to the reduction of gun deaths in the United States,” the email said.

The announcement came after the progressive news website ThinkProgress listed the bank as a company that supports the NRA. ThinkProgress noted that First National Bank offered two NRA cards with a $40 bonus and touted it as “enough to reimburse your one-year NRA membership!”

Not everyone on Twitter was in agreement with the decision to remove the NRA credit card from the bank’s website. Here are just a few of the responses to First National Bank of Omaha’s decision.

Sheila the Deplorable asks: “Does that mean you’re guards will never be armed, even the ones in the armored trucks, or if you’re robbed the cops who show up will be without guns? If you’re gonna be anti do it all the way otherwise you’re a hypocrite.”

Theresa reminds FNB of Omaha that “Millions and millions of gun owners will take note.”

This Twitter user reminded the bank that NRA supporters can also start a boycott of the bank and included a hashtag #BoycottNationalBank

The NRA has faced intense criticism following the school shooting in Florida earlier this month that left 17 people dead.
Omaha, Nebraska is home to the First National Bank of Omaha. The movoto website lists Omaha as being in a county that is pretty evenly split when it comes to residents who identify with the Republican or Democrat Party. So, is it a good business decision for the largest privately held bank in the US, that is headquartered in Omaha where voters are evenly split, to take a political stand when it comes to our 2nd Amendment?

According to Movoto, Omaha is in Douglas County, which reports almost a 50/50 split between the two political parties. In Douglas, there are 124,197 registered Republicans and 122,460 Democrats, so it is not surprising that Nebraska’s biggest city has an area for both sides.

Even on hot-button political topics like abortion, they still are split down the middle.
