Katie Couric asks Betty White: “What do you think about the state of our county and how divided it seems to be?”
Betty White responded, “It’s very divided, and we’re not in the best place we’ve ever been. But I think that’s the time to buckle down and really work positively as much as you can instead of saying, ‘Oh he’s terrible or that’s terrible’.”
Katie gives it one more try: “It’s hard for people to be positive right now because there’s so much negativity from the highest office in the land or soon to be to everybody and their brother putting things out on social media. It almost feels toxic, doesn’t it?”
