On Wednesday, Joe Biden appeared in Fort Myers, Florida with Governor Ron DeSantis to survey some of the damage done by Hurricane Ian. Biden and DeSantis, who typically don’t see eye-to-eye, delivered remarks together and shook hands, putting their differences aside for the public appearance.

Both men appeared with their wives by their sides and appeared to be getting along just fine. Biden announced that he and DeSantis have been working closely together in the wake of the hurricane, and praised DeSantis for doing a “good job” in his handling of the natural disaster.

DeSantis welcomed the Bidens to Florida, and thanked him for covering the cost of “debris removal and emergency protective measures.”

“We were very fortunate to have good coordination with the White House and with FEMA from the beginning of this,” the Florida Governor said.

Just after speaking with DeSantis, Biden spoke to the town’s mayor, Ray Murphy. Part of this conversation was picked up by a nearby microphone, and Biden was heard saying “no one f**ks with a Biden,” and told Murphy “you can’t argue with your brothers outside the house.”

Murphy, who had been thanking Biden for coming to visit the devastated town, told Biden he was “God d*mn right” to say “no one f***s” with him.
