The seemingly off-script remark came during the octogenarian’s speech marking the first anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act.

The moment quickly made the rounds on social media, where Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) captioned a clip of Biden’s comment with “#StrangerDanger.”

“Exactly how hard is it for Joe Biden to NOT be a complete creep around kids??” Canary CEO Dan K. Eberhart chimed in.

“Apparently, pretty hard,” one followed responded.

Once is an accident.

Twice is coincidence.

He addressed a woman in the crowd he apparently knew long ago.

“We go back a long way,” he said. “She was 12 and I was 30, but anyway. This woman helped me get an awful lot done. Anyway.”
