On Wednesday, Joe Biden signed a police reform executive order on the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death. Biden also spoke about the school shooting that took place in Texas on Tuesday.

He was addressing the tragic mass murder that took place when he switched gears and begin talking about black Americans being in danger of being killed in their sleep and while they’re shopping.

“When in God’s name will we do what needs to be done to, if not completely stop, fundamentally change the amount of the carnage that goes on in this country?” Biden said.

“Families here today, and across the country have had to ask, ‘Why this nation?’ Why so many black Americans wake up knowing they could lose their life in the course of just living their life today. Simply jogging, shopping, sleeping at home.”
