On December 19, 1998, President Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath to a federal grand jury about an affair he had with 21-year-old intern Monica Lewinsky, and for obstructing justice.

Twenty years later, in June 2018, former President Bill Clinton was interviewed about the affair on NBC’s Today Show, with Craig Melvin. During the interview, Clinton was adamant he didn’t owe Monica Lewinsky, his former intern, whose life was ruined by the scandal, an apology.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the former president, who in the past has been very untruthful and unapologetic about his affair with the intern, has opened up about his affair.

The former President suggests, in an explosive documentary seen by DailyMailTV, that he had the fling with the ex-White House intern while he was in office because it helped with his own issues.

Bill offers an apology to Lewinsky in the documentary that will premiere on Friday and says he felt ‘terrible’ that her life was defined by their affair.

But he said that at some point when things don’t return to normal ‘you’ve got to decide how to define normal’, suggesting the infamous former intern should just move on.

But the part about the Lewinsky affair – which the political couple rarely address in public – will likely be the most scrutinized.

The scandal led to Bill being impeached in 1998. But he survived the trial in the Senate and remained in office during his second term.

So, there you have it, Bill Clinton’s affair, that ultimately ruined the life of a young woman can be easily explained, he just used her to help him to manage his anxiety.

There has never been a more crooked or repulsive couple to occupy America’s White House.
