Barack Obama bestie and Hillary Clinton supporter, George Clooney, openly mocked the idea that Donald Trump could become our next president. In laughing about Trump’s prospects of becoming our next president, Clooney was also mocking the 63 millions Americans who voted for President Trump. It’s easy to be a condescending Hollywood liberal who makes massive donations to gun-grabbing groups, after all, he and his lovely wife Amal and their twin babies, have armed guards who are with them wherever they go.
Why in the world would George Clooney need a gun for self-defense?
According to Showbiz 411, George Clooney just donated a cool $500,000 to the March for Our Lives. He and wife Amal will make an appearance at the gun control rally. Clooney is an ardent supporter of civil rights in places like Sudan with the still-going Not On Our Watch (They are still giving hundreds of thousands of dollars there to protect the South Sudan). But this may signal a new political move by him by actually going to Washington DC on March 24th.
The hypocrite, multi-billionaire, Oprah Winfrey, who is also protected at all times by armed bodyguards, tweeted that she would match her fellow Hollywood hypocrites $500,000 gun control donation:
George and Amal, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am joining forces with you and will match your $500,000 donation to ‘March For Our Lives.’ These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.

Only 10 months ago, Oprah was leaving CBS in New York when a fight broke out between fans waiting to see her. Oprah’s security detail quickly jumped into action to keep her safe from harm. Guess what Oprah? 99.99999% of Americans don’t have their own armed private security detail and need to be able to protect themselves in the event an armed law enforcement officer isn’t right next to them.
Thanks to the sale of his Casamigas Tequila company for $1 billion– Clooney now has the money to put behind causes he and Amal believe in. They gave $1 million last year to the Southern Poverty Law Center. And they’ve said that in total they will donate $21 million to various causes.
George and Amal’s appearance at March for Our Lives will be key to this movement. He won’t be speaking, however: his rep says only “kids” will be speaking at this event, no adults.
Will Clooney run for president? Last fall when he was promoting “Suburbicon,” Clooney said this: “Would I like to be the next president? Oh, that sounds like fun. Can I just say that I’d like anybody to be the next president of the United States. Right away, please,” he joked.
By the end of the day came pledges of $500,000 apiece from Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, and Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg.
March for Our Lives now has $2 million more than it did last night.
