Bill Clinton has been hospitalized with sepsis at a hospital in California. The former president was admitted to the UCI Medical Center in California after feeling fatigued on Tuesday:

CNN reports that Clinton was diagnosed with sepsis, an infection of the bloodstream, which doctors believe started as a urinary tract infection.

Clinton’s physicians released a statement saying he was “admitted to the hospital for close monitoring and administered IV antibiotics and fluids.”

Sepsis is a blood infection that can be serious if not caught early. IV antibiotics are the best thing to give a patient with sepsis.
