Michael Bloomberg just announced a run for president, but he’s proving he’s not in touch with average Americans who don’t want higher taxes.

He’s always been a fan of the Nanny State, where the government is bigger and knows better than you. The former Mayor of New York City’s policies during his years in charge of the city prove he’s all about being in charge of YOU! Remember the Big Gulp controversy where Bloomberg went to war against the big sodas because he believed they are unhealthy?

The flashback below is another example of the liberal elitist belief that they know better than you what is best for you. It’s like Bloomberg is saying, “Hey poor people, I want to tax you more because I care about you. You are too stupid to know what is best for you, so I will raise your taxes and tell you how to live your life because I am smarter than you and I know what is best for you” This is terrifying.

Bloomberg wants you to believe that higher taxes will have an impact on your “behavior” and how you deal with yourself. How you deal with yourself like buying fewer Big Gulps if there is a tax on it.

Bloomberg’s comments below are dripping in arrogance at almost every turn. It’s hard to believe this billionaire is so lacking in self-awareness.

Michael Bloomberg: “Some people say, well, taxes are regressive. But in this case, yes, they are. That’s the good thing about them because the problem is in people that don’t have a lot of money. And so, higher taxes should have a bigger impact on their behavior and how they deal with themselves.”

“Sugary drinks” should be taxed? Where does it end?
