A ground stop has been issued at Miami International Airport after an Amazon Prime Air plane, a Boeing 767, crashed due to overshooting the runway upon landing.

Video footage showed flames and black smoke coming from the aircraft.

The ground stop was issued due to a disabled aircraft.

“21 Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at Miami International Airport around 2 p.m. local time on Sunday, Sept. 6. The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The FAA will investigate,” the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.

WSVN noted:

All departures from the airport have been grounded as of 2:30 p.m., Sunday.

Details remain limited as to what led up to the incident.

Flames were also seen burning from somewhere along the fuselage, while cars and semis were pulled over around the scene.

“Oh my God!” people were heard saying in the background as the wreck burned.

Despite the scene, the plane appeared to be largely intact where it lay on the road.

It remains unclear what led to the incident or the full extent of what happened.

Other clips circulating social media showed the plane on the ground just past the Miami runway, suggesting it may have veered off during landing.
