This is outrageous! It’s obvious why ABC News didn’t include in their 20/20 interview the statement by fired FBI Director James Comey that he doesn’t know if the Steele dossier is a ‘credible document’. Comey also knew the dossier was produced by Trump’s political opponents but chose not to tell the president(see below).

Remember that Comey had to confirm to a FISA court that he believed the dossier was legit.

Comey would have signed off on the first three FISA applications that allowed Carter Page to be spied on. This opened the door for a backchannel around US intel and for the Trump campaign to be spied on.

Comey also said in the interview that he did not know whether the “golden showers” salacious claim in the dossier about Trump was true. Steele claimed in his report that the Russian government had secret footage of Trump engaged with prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room in 2013. Comey is now claiming that the Russians have the tape.

President Trump has called this salacious claim a hoax.

Daily Caller reports:

Former FBI Director James Comey says he is unsure whether the infamous Steele dossier is a “credible document.”

“Has it checked out? Is it a credible document?” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked Comey of the dossier, according to a transcript of their five-hour interview, parts of which aired Sunday night.

“The answer is, I don’t know,” said Comey, who is peddling his memoir, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.”

ABC News did not include the segment in its one-hour “20/20” special. Keep reading…

COMEY ALSO ACKNOWLEDGED IN THE INTERVIEW THAT HE KNEW THAT TRUMP’S POLITICAL OPPONENTS WERE BEHIND THE DOSSIER BUT DID NOT TELL THE PRESIDENT!

“Did you know it had been financed at the beginning from … President Trump’s political opponents?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“Yes … I was told at some point that it was — the effort had originally been financed by a Republican source to develop — material — opposition research on Donald Trump. Then after the Republican nominating process ended, the effort was taken up and funded by a Democratic aligned group trying to get opposition research on Trump,” he said.

The Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee funded the dossier. Perkins Coie, the law firm that represented the campaign and DNC, hired opposition research firm Fusion GPS in April 2016 to investigate Trump’s ties to Russia. Fusion in turn hired Steele in June 2016.

COMEY: Expecting Clinton Would Win “Must Have” Influenced Decision to Disclose Investigation [Video] #Comey

WHAT IN THE WORLD? IT’S NOT HIS JOB TO DECIDE ON THE INVESTIGATION INTO CLINTON BASED ON WHETHER SHE WOULD WIN THE 2016 ELECTION OR NOT!

How arrogant can this man be? The second bombshell is that he chose NOT to tell President Trump where the Steele Dossier  came from!

Via Free Beacon:

Former FBI director James Comey said in an interview that he revealed the reopening of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails in part because he expected her to win the election.

Comey, whose upcoming book examines other things the events surrounding President Donald Trump’s election, told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he was influenced by the assumption that Clinton would win.

In an interview clip aired Sunday morning, Stephanopoulos asked directly whether Comey disclosed the FBI’s actions to Congress because he thought Clinton’s lead over Trump was secure.

“At some level, was the decision to reveal influenced by your assumption that Hillary Clinton was going to win and concerned that if she wins, this comes out weeks later, that is taken by her opponents as a sign she’s an illegitimate president?” Stephanopoulos asked.

Former US Attorney Joe DiGenova said it best when he spoke out against Comey after Comey’s testimony before Congress (before he was fired):

“James Comey is a danger to the country,” diGenova said. “He surrounds himself with his own cult of personality. He believes that he is the last righteous man left standing.”

When Comey held a news conference July 5, 2016 where he “accused Hillary Clinton and then exonerated her,” diGenova said, “he violated every rule and regulation of the department of justice. He should have been fired that day.”

President Donald Trump should not have kept him after his inauguration, he added.

“He should be fired for the testimony that he has given over the last few months,” diGenova added. “That July 5 news conference was the original sin. From it, everything else followed.”

In answer to Comey’s question to his critics of what they would have done differently, diGenova said, “Mr. Director, I would have done nothing, because I never would have held the July 5 news conference, which forced you to send two letters to Congress.”

Comey, as FBI director, is a cop, he said, but instead took on the role of a prosecutor, stealing the job of the Justice Department. But the Justice Department, headed then by Attorney General Loretta Lynch, was left unable to respond because of Lynch’s private meeting with Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, in Clinton’s plane at the Phoenix airport.

“The entire Department of Justice was so frightened of Jim Comey because of the way they had politically mishandled the Hillary Clinton email server investigation, that they were afraid to contradict him,” he said. “That is what you call a disaster in a government of accountability. He stole the work of the Department of Justice in a single day, and they sat there and watched it. A pox on all of their houses.”
