On the heels of horrifying new reports about the treatment of January 6th political prisoners, Matt Gaetz and his patriot colleagues in Congress gave a rousing speech condemning Democrats and law enforcement.  Democrats seized on the unrest on January 6th to push authoritarian police state measures and mistreat J6 protesters.  “They are treating those people worse than they treat the terrorists at Gitmo (short for Guantanamo),” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) claimed at a Cobb County Republican Party breakfast. Yesterday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and fellow Republican lawmakers Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, and Paul Gosar shared a report on the treatment of J6 prisoners.

Marjorie Taylor Greene began the event by highlighting the hypocrisy of Democrats, the national media, and law enforcement for their treatment of J6 prisoners compared to BLM and antifa rioters.  Over 700 police officers were injured during BLM riots in June of 2020 and the Black Lives Matter movement was linked to over 90% of riots in 2020.  Greene went on to discuss how the J6 prisoners are being beaten, denied medical treatment, proper due process protections, and bail.

Rep. Gaetz (R-Fl.) finished off the event by sending a parting shot to Democrats, warning them that the new GOP will not stand for the heinous human rights violations that they are committing.

“It’s been 174 days since my colleagues and I sent a letter to Director Wray asking basic questions about the FBI’s involvement in January 6th.  Americans should not be languishing in hideous, unconstitutional conditions waiting for basic answers like this.  Waiting for basic answers on evidence.  Waiting for basic answers on counsel.  This report must be a guidepost for ongoing Republican oversight effort in Congress…  We are going to take power after this next election. When we do, it’s not going to be the days of Paul Ryan, and Trey Gowdy, and no real oversight, and no real subpoenas. It’s going to be the days of Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Dr. Gosar, and myself.”
