Trump unloads on nuclear weapons “Hoax” on Truth Social as he encourages the release of documents seized by FBI in raid
President Trump took to Truth Social Thursday night and Friday morning to slam the raid on Mar-a-Lago as “unwarranted” and “unnecessary,” while also stating his encouragement of the release of documents confiscated by the FBI.
Trump argues that the documents confiscated were “drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents,” but nevertheless, he urges the release of said documents.
“…My poll numbers are the strongest they have ever been, fundraising by the Republican Party is breaking all records, and midterm elections are fast approaching. This unprecedented political weaponization of law enforcement is inappropriate and highly unethical. The world is watching as our Country is being brought to a new low, not only on our border, crime, economy, energy, national security, and so much more, but also with respect to our sacred elections!” President Trump posted, accurately, in a followup.
Finally, President Trump addresses the nuclear weapons document leak on Friday morning. Denying it entirely, he invokes other “hoaxes” by the Democrats and his other political enemies including the Mueller Investigation, Russiagate, and the Christofer Steele Dossier–the first of which came up with no collusion despite a massive and costly investigation, and the second and third of which are certifiably false.
Trump seems to strongly believe that not only does he have nothing to hide, hence urging the release of documents, but that the entire raid was a political hit job meant to instigate another “hoax.” However, he also notes that if it is a political hit job it has backfired substantially, as Republicans are more motivated to vote now than ever, fundraising is soaring, and Trump’s polling numbers are even higher than ever.
The warrant is expected to be unsealed Friday. Stay tuned for continuing updates on the unprecedented raid.
