Joe Biden doesn’t react well to hardball questions because he hasn’t been told what to say. Without notes, the guy is a mess. He snapped at reporters a few times today to deflect answering any questions about Afghanistan:

Biden snapped at a reporter and said, “I want to talk about happy things, man!” during remarks he delivered at the White House on the June jobs report.

But it didn’t end there…Biden refused again to talk about Afghanistan by saying it’s 4th of July:

“I’m not going to answering any more questions on Afghanistan. Look, it’s Fourth of July. I’m concerned that you guys are asking me questions, and I’ll answer next week… I’ll answer all your negative questions — not negative, your legitimate questions.”

His handlers should be happy. He can’t answer a question unless the answer is written down for him. C’mon man!
