Over the course of the past few weeks, the American public have witnessed one of the greatest uprisings against US law enforcement across the country in American history. On Tuesday, an unidentified, black man spoke to a group of protesters in front of New York City’s City Hall declaring his disdain and hated for police.

According to the Daily Caller, the BLM militant said he wanted to hang police officers, step on their necks, and “neutralize” them, a Daily Caller News Foundation video shows. “I want to neutralize them, like they do us,” the man said, “I want to hang him from a f**king tree like he do us,” said the man as he held on to a lampost and gave a speech to fellow protestors, the video shows.

“I want to put my foot on his neck, like he do us,” the man said.

His uncalled for and disrespectful comments were applauded and cheered by a large crowd of protesters. Protesters across the country have demanded action against police brutality and racial discrimination since the May 25 death of George Floyd, who died in Minneapolis police custody after a former officer knelt on his neck for nearly 9 minutes.

Protesters have occupied the area surrounding City Hall for several days demanding the New York City Police Department’s budget be cut by $1 billion, along with demanding the department go through systematic change to address police brutality. The NYPD attempted to dismantle the protest zone Wednesday morning.

Republicans criticized the militant’s desperate plea on Twitter commenting:

“I don’t see much #SocialDistancing Maybe someone should remind these people there is still a health crisis. Why isn’t this all over the news? I seem to recall days of media coverage about #COVID19 and the #TrumpRally@jr11242

“Am I crazy but looks like about 95% white crowd, under 30. I want to slap the sheesh out of at least 1000+ parents. The most important job you have in life is to build independent, rational, moral, self-sufficient humans…#1…nothing else close. For shame, for shame.” @talonflier
