The IRS team investigating Hunter Biden’s tax return has been removed at the alleged request of the Department of Justice following a whistleblowers allegation that his co-workers have been covering up financial crimes committed by Joe Biden’s son.

Despite Daniel Werfel, an IRS commissioner vowing before Congress that the IRS would not punish whistleblowers, it appears the opposite is occurring.

Werfel testified: “I can say without any hesitation there will be no retaliation for anyone making an allegation or a call to a whistleblower hotline.”

Attorneys Mark Lytle and Tristan Leavitt, who represent the unnamed whistleblower, responded to the situation in a letter addressed to ranking Congressional members and committee chairman,

“Today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Supervisory Special Agent we represent was informed that he and his entire investigative team are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress. He was informed the change was at the request of the Department of Justice.”

According to the Daily Mail, the whistleblower’s lawyers believe the action contradicts Werfel’s promise that there would not be any retaliation. The lawyers pointed out the seriousness of the actions taken by the IRS,

“This move is clearly retaliatory and may also constitute obstruction of a congressional inquiry.” They continued,

“Our client has a right to make disclosures to Congress … He is protected by 5 USC § 2302 from retaliatory personnel actions – including receiving a “significant change in duties, responsibilities, or working conditions” (which this clearly is) because of his disclosures to Congress.

Any attempt by any government official to prevent a federal employee from furnishing information to Congress is also a direct violation of longstanding appropriations restriction.”

The attorneys further pressed for the potential politically driven retaliation to be addressed immediately. They noted that the agents who had worked on the Biden case for several years were experts on the subject matter and that the suspicious IRS move reflected the same sketchy behavior that first motivated the whistleblower to come forward.

“We respectfully request that you give this matter your prompt attention. Removing the experienced investigators who have worked this case for years and are now the subject-matter experts is exactly the sort of issue our client intended to blow the whistle on, to begin with.”

Noted crack addict Hunter Biden

Hunter Biden has not yet been charged with tax fraud, but his legal team met with the Department of Justice in late April. The Biden’s are facing a slew of corruption charges, and Hunter’s issues with the IRS are just the launch point. He also is being investigated for a suspicious gun purchase and money laundering.
Apparently, most of the FBI’s investigation into Hunter was concluded in 2022, yet lead US Attorney David Weiss, has yet to bring charges. It seems apparent that the two-tiered system of justice in place benefitting Democrats like the Bidens is underlying the delay and the change in the IRS investigation team. Yet the White House consistently denies any intervention.
