UPDATE AND CORRECTION: Earlier today, it was erroneously reported that the President of  Brazil tested positive for coronavirus. According to Fox News, The President of Brazil’s son is contradicting the news that his father tested positive for coronavirus. In an earlier interview on Fox News this morning, the son appeared to indicate his father had tested positive but in a later interview, he said the test was negative.

-Fox News reported that the son initially said his father was positive and that ‘further testing was being done to confirm the diagnosis and the second set of testing was expected later in the day.’

-In the follow-up interview with Fox News, Bolsonaro’s son said his father had never tested positive: “The information I have is the results that just came up telling that he is negative for coronavirus. I never listened that it was positive in the first exam. This is something that I don’t know. But, uh, everything’s good now.”

All indications are that the initial report was false.

The Miami Herald is reporting breaking news that Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, four days after the mayor attended a Miami event with a Brazilian government official who later tested positive for the virus.

Several videos of the group interacting with President Trump and others at Mar-a-Lago last weekend were posted on social media.

News broke yesterday that another person in the delegation visiting the US had also tested positive for the coronavirus:

A Brazilian government official pictured with President Trump has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The official, Fabio Wajngarten (pictured below wearing hat), is the press secretary for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who visited the U.S. with a delegation last week.

A picture (see below) was taken last weekend at Mar-a-Lago with the president and vice president.  Wajngarten posted the photo with President Trump on Instagram.

President Trump was asked (video below) this morning about contact with the infected man:

“Let’s put it this way…I’m not concerned.”

It is not known if President Trump or anyone else in the administration will be tested.

President Trump is holding a press conference at 3 pm ET today.
