The mess in Iowa gets messier.
Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez has called on Iowa Democrats to recanvass results from Monday’s caucuses “in order to assure public confidence in the results.”
Perez tweeted “enough is enough”:
Enough is enough. In light of the problems that have emerged in the implementation of the delegate selection plan and in order to assure public confidence in the results, I am calling on the Iowa Democratic Party to immediately begin a recanvass.

The results of the Iowa caucus were delayed and are still trickling in a little bit at a time, causing suspicions from different campaigns for president.
The results continue to give Bernie Sanders more momentum even though he is still behind candidate Pete Buttigieg from Indiana. Joe Biden had a “disastrous” showing in fourth place. Reports of a campaign shake-up are swirling around Biden.
Troy Price, chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, released a statement that appeared to push back on the idea that Perez can even request the recanvass. He said that a presidential campaign needs to request the recanvass:
“Should any presidential campaign in compliance with the Iowa Delegate Selection Plan request a recanvass, the IDP is prepared.”

Bernie Sanders supporters are not happy about this and are saying it’s the establishment Democrats are the ones pushing for the recanvass.
Bernie Sanders reportedly joked that he hopes Iowa results come in before the November election.
