Actor Johnny Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on the popular soap opera ‘General Hospital,’ was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, his mother said he was with a coworker when they saw three suspects allegedly trying to steal a catalytic converter.

He was 37.

Per TMZ:

Scarlett says she was told Johnny didn’t try to fight or stop them … but, the men shot him anyway before taking off. According to police info, paramedics rushed to the scene just after 3 AM PT. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police have not provided a description of the suspects … but, Johnny’s mother says she hopes they’ll be found quickly.

Johnny got his start in acting back in 2007 on the hit Lifetime show “Army Wives,” playing a few different roles before working steadily over the next two decades.

Some of his bigger credits include “Westworld,” “The OA,” “NCIS,” “Station 19,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Hollywood Girl.”

Wactor is best known for playing Brando Corbin in 164 episodes of long-running soap opera “General Hospital” between 2020 and 2022, according to his IMDb profile. He also appeared in the supernatural drama show “Siberia” and an episode of “Criminal Minds.”

His mother told TMZ she would remember him as a loving young man. He leaves behind his mother and a pair of younger brothers, the outlet reported.
