The House GOP demanded today that Facebook preserve all its communications with the FBI concerning the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Rep. Andrew Cylde called Facebooks use of ‘shadow banning’ to suppress the story ‘election interference’ last week.

The controversy came as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg openly admitted on Joe Rogan’s podcast that Facebook de-ranked posts and stories that discussed the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop leading up to the 2020 Presidential election.

Now, House GOP officials appear ready to question both senior FBI officials and Mark Zuckerberg for their role in suppressing the story.

The GOP lawmakers, that included Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Oh.) and Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said that the letter served as a “formal request to preserve all existing and future records and materials relating to the topics addressed in this letter,”

The Epoch Times Reports

House GOP lawmakers on Thursday issued a demand to obtain communications between Facebook and the FBI after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said last weekend that he received messages from the bureau about possible Russian propaganda and decided to suppress the reach of late 2020 reports on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Both Facebook and Twitter reduced the reach or blocked a New York Post report on the younger Biden’s laptop that revealed his extensive business dealings with a Chinese regime-linked company and in other countries.

At the time, some former officials and Democrats alleged the story was a Russian disinformation plot, but the laptop contents were later corroborated by a Biden associate. That same associate, Tony Boulinksi, received several emails from Biden and confirmed President Joe Biden was the individual referenced as “the big guy” in those messages.
