A shooting incident that began on the U.S. Naval Recruiting on Lee Highway ended at the U.S. Naval Reserve Center on Amincola Highway Thursday morning.
A Chattanooga police officer and four marines were shot according to Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke. The shooter has been killed by police.
The FBI and ATF are said to be enroute to the scene to aid in the investigation.
Berke left a news conference early when he received the news of the shooting.
Police have set up a command post near the scene.
Chattanooga State’s campus, which is nearby, has been locked down as a safety precaution. It is considered to be an active shooter situation. Several business in the are have been locked down as a safety measure.

There’s currently no word on the condition of those involved.
