Two days ago, President Trump laid into China, warning that he’s fed up with China stealing our intellectual property. He also notified Fed Ex, Amazon, UPS and the US Post Office that he was ordering them to search and refuse all deliveries of Fentanyl from China, saying that President Xi said he would stop it, but he didn’t. In his tweet, Trump claimed that Fentanyl kills 100,000 Americans a year.
President Trump tweeted:
Our Country has lost, stupidly, Trillions of Dollars with China over many years. They have stolen our Intellectual Property at a rate of Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year, & they want to continue. I won’t let that happen! We don’t need China and, frankly, would be far….

Trump continued…
….better off without them. The vast amounts of money made and stolen by China from the United States, year after year, for decades, will and must STOP. Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing..
responding to China’s Tariffs this afternoon. This is a GREAT opportunity for the United States. Also, I am ordering all carriers, including Fed Ex, Amazon, UPS and the Post Office, to SEARCH FOR & REFUSE,….
…all deliveries of Fentanyl from China (or anywhere else!). Fentanyl kills 100,000 Americans a year. President Xi said this would stop – it didn’t. Our Economy, because of our gains in the last 2 1/2 years, is MUCH larger than that of China. We will keep it that way!
Today, the Mexican Navy stopped a massive shipment of fentanyl coming from Shanghai, China that was headed to the notorious Sinaloa Cartel. Ryan Saavedra of the Daily Wire did some math and discovered the Mexican Navy apprehended enough fentanyl to kill over 7 billion people.
For those wondering about the calculation on how many people that much fentanyl would kill, this is the DOJ on a separate case: "33 kilograms of the drug – likely enough to kill more than 10 million people"
Again, officials still are verifying if it's all fentanyl pic.twitter.com/xZiNu61e44

President Trump has been very vocal about his commitment to stop the opioid crisis in America.
DEA Special Agent Clyde E. Shelley has identified fentanyl as “the number one threat causing the opioid epidemic in America.”
The Mexican drug cartels have been sneaking illegal drugs like fentanyl, across our southern border for decades, while Democrat lawmakers fight to keep our borders open.
Breitbart News reports – The Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico (La Secretaría de Marina–SEMAR) has reported a major fentanyl seizure believed to be of multi-ton in the Mexican port city of Lázaro Cárdenas in the state of Michoacán.
The Mexican government announced the major fentanyl seizure of initially reported by local media outlets to be approximately 25.75 tons (23,368 kilograms or 51,517 pounds) of powdered fentanyl that originated in Shanghai China and was headed to Culiacán, Sinaloa, the home base for the Sinaloa Cartel. According to a government spokesperson, the seizure was a result of a joint operation led by the Mexican naval elements of the 10th naval zone and Lázaro Cárdenas customs enforcement personnel as reported by local media. Michoacán is located in western Mexico and has a stretch of coastline along the Pacific Ocean.
According to government authorities, investigators found the cargo inside a container of a Danish flagged vessel with a cargo manifest indicating that the contents consisted of Calcium Chloride. Authorities took a random sampling of the powdered substance to a specialized laboratory of Mexican Customs and the substance later tested positive for fentanyl. Officials seized a total of 931 sacks of the substance for a total weight of 23,368 kilograms. Government officials indicated that the weight of the suspected fentanyl is still being determined since the investigation is ongoing and later reports indicated that an official weight would be reported at a later date.
According to Breitbart Texas law enforcement sources, powered fentanyl can be easily mass-produced into the black-market oxycodone M-30’s known as “Mexican Oxy.” The deadly pills are often blamed for contributing to the opioid overdose crisis in the U.S. and the Sinaloa cartel has stepped up production of the product for the U.S. drug market.
Only eight months ago, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 254 pounds of the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl in powder form during a search at a border checkpoint in Nogales, Arizona.
KOAA– Agents took a closer look at a tractor-trailer hauling produce from Mexico during a secondary inspection last Saturday. Another 2.2 pounds of fentanyl pills and a “large cache” of methamphetamine was also seized.
The driver, a Mexican national, was arrested by agents.
In recent years illicit fentanyl is blamed as the drug related to more overdoses in the US than any other compound. In powdered form, the painkiller is mixed with heroin for an extra kick.
