Former CIA analyst turned US congresswoman, Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), sponsored a meaningless resolution that was voted on today by House members. Although it didn’t mention him by name, the resolution was about limiting President Trump’s military actions with Iran.

Rep. Slotkin was allegedly a key player in the Obama regime’s negotiations with Iran.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran, according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterward.

Wooden pallets stacked with euros, Swiss francs, and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane, according to these officials. The U.S. procured the money from the central banks of the Netherlands and Switzerland, they said.

Sen. Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas and a fierce foe of the Iran nuclear deal, accused President Barack Obama of paying “a $1.7 billion ransom to the ayatollahs for U.S. hostages.”

“This break with longstanding U.S. policy put a price on the head of Americans, and has led Iran to continue its illegal seizures” of Americans, he said.

Rep. Slotkin has been asked multiple times about her role in helping Obama to send over $1 billion to Iranian officials. While Slotkin was running to unseat the Republican Rep Mike Bishop in 2018, she curiously refused to answer about her role in the negotiations.

Watch:

In November 2019, Slotkin was asked again about her role in the Obama regime’s negotiations with Iran during a town hall in her Michigan district. Slotkin arrogantly smirked as she was being asked about her involvement, but again, refused to explain her specific role in the deal. CIA analysts and agents are highly skilled in the art of deception.

Today, a bill sponsored by former CIA analyst Rep. Slotkin (D-MI), was passed to limit President Trump’s military actions against Iran. In a 224 to 194 vote, the House passed a war powers resolution to limit President Trump’s military actions against Iran. Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the resolution would send a clear message that the president shouldn’t take further military action against Iran without Congress’ approval.

According to The Gateway Pundit,  8 Democrats voted against the measure, while three Republicans voted for the measure – Gaetz, Massie, and Rooney.

Matt Gaetz explained his decision to vote for the useless, symbolic measure from the House floor, saying the resolution doesn’t even mention Trump or Soleimani’s name.

Tonight, Gaetz spoke with Tucker Carlson, explaining that he spoke with President Trump before he voted. He said President Trump is more anti-war than he is, explaining that the resolution is not about President Trump.

Unfortunately, the truth is, that this Democrat-led resolution was, in fact, another attempt by Democrat lawmakers to weaken President Trump in the eyes of American voters, as they try to make him look like a warmonger who needs to be reigned in by Congress.

It isn’t’ the first time Rep. Matt Gaetz sided with the Democrats in their attempts to harm President Trump. In 2017, the freshman lawmaker, Matt Gaetz told an angry crowd of people at a local town hall meeting that he “absolutely” believes President Trump should be forced to release his tax returns as part of the Russian witch hunt.

A woman in the crowd shouted at Gaetz, “You are on the Judiciary Committee. You have said they are going to investigate the Russian allegations.”

She demanded Gaetz answer her asking, “Yes or no? Yes or no?

“Let me ask my question: Will you call for the release of President Trump’s income tax returns?”

Over an angry crowd of leftists, Gaetz strained for his voice to be heard, telling them, “If you hear me out, you’ll like my answer—Absolutely, Donald Trump should release his tax returns.”
